Bristol – City of Festivals (August)

Bristol – City of Festivals (Aug)

The vibrant riverside city hosts many festivals every year, each of them exciting and worth visiting. So that you and I don’t miss out on any of them, here’s a list of upcoming festivals for this month!

Sat.05.Aug – Sun.06.Aug: Redfest

This year, the Redfest is taking part on and around Church Road in Redfield. The two-day celebration of “everything great about East Bristol” will be featuring local venues, businesses, traders and artists. This festival with the aim to increase the community’s pride is an excellent opportunity for locals as well as visitors from around to discover new, fun venues. Check out their map page to find out which venues are involved!

Sun.06.Aug: Bristol Islamic Cultural Fayre

Bristol celebrates its diversity in one of the South West’s largest events of its kind, including a funfair, over 100 stalls and live performances. It’s hosted in Eastville park and anyone is welcome, even if you’re not Muslim! So stay up to date on their Facebook page!

Thu.10.Aug – Sun.13.Aug: Bristol International Balloon Fiesta

Four days full of anything to do with hot air balloons! Ashton Court will be filled with flying displays as well as the usual festive food stalls and entertainment. They even have their own website, so check that out for details!

So that’s three festivals in August. There’ll be six more coming in September, so look forward to those too!
